How long does it take to see clear results?
A comprehensive treatment plan to achieve lasting clarity usually requires a minimum of 3 to 6 months of treatment.
How many treatment sessions will I need?
The number of sessions is determined during your initial Skin Analysis. A typical series for active acne is 4-8 sessions. Treatments are typically scheduled 4 weeks apart to allow for full skin recovery, but for very severe acne, we may recommend every 2 weeks.
Will my acne come back after treatment?
Our goal is lasting results. Because we combine in-clinic treatments with a personalized home-care routine, we target the root cause. Maintenance is key, but our approach dramatically reduces the likelihood of severe recurrence.
Is the treatment painful?
The Extraction is typically the most "uncomfortable" part. IPL light therapy is mildly uncomfortable. Our Microneedling procedure is administered with numbing cream, making it almost guaranteed pain-free and very relaxing.
Is there any downtime or recovery time?
Downtime depends on the treatment. Many have no downtime (e.g., light therapy). Stronger treatments, like deeper peels or microneedling, may result in redness and mild flaking for 1-3 days. We will always advise you before treatment.
What should I do to prepare for my first consultation/treatment?
Please come to your first consultation with clean, makeup-free skin. Avoid using harsh topical products (like Retinol or strong acids) for 48 hours before your appointment.
Can I wear makeup after my treatment?
This depends on the procedure. For most non-invasive treatments, light mineral makeup is fine. For procedures that break the skin barrier (like Microneedling), you may need to wait 24-48 hours to ensure proper healing and prevent infection.
Can these treatments also help with my acne scarring?
Yes! Microneedling is our primary treatment for improving texture and minimizing scarring. Please note that achieving noticeable results for scarring requires a significant commitment, often a minimum of 12 treatments.
How much does an acne treatment package cost?
Because every treatment is personalized, we can only provide an accurate quote after your initial Skin Analysis. We offer package pricing for treatment series to make clarity more affordable.
Do you accept insurance or offer financing?
Medical spa treatments are generally not covered by provincial health insurance. However, we offer various payment options, including package deals and third-party financing plans, to help you budget for your clear skin goals.
